The upper limit switch prevents driving the bottom block into the bottom of the hoist protecting the slip clutch from unnecessary wear, which limits its ability to prevent an overload; it includes thermal motor protection that prevents motor damaging from excessive operation of the hoist. DST, DSTM type has made maintenance easier.
